Reading Rainbow’s LeVar Burton lent his famous voice to a special reading of Go the F— to Sleep.

Burton read Adam Mansbach’s sly parental-guidance book for the charity campaign, Rooster Teeth’s Extra Life, which aims to raise money for medical research for local chapters of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. A group of young adults gathered around Burton as he turned Mansbach’s tale into a meditative bout of story time.

“The tiger reclines in the simmering jungle, the sparrow has silenced her cheep. F— your stuffed bear, I’m not getting you s—, close your eyes, cut the crap, sleep!” Burton thundered.

It seems that Burton’s expletive-laced story time generated a good deed: The charity has since raised $243,633, exceeding the $200,000 goal on its crowdfunding page.
