'The Bridge' canceled by FX
FX is tearing down The Bridge.
The network has decided to not move forward with a third season of the series, which has struggled to gain buzz amid the crowded cable crime drama landscape. The Bridge was recently generating around 1.2 million viewers and 0.4 rating among adults 18-49.
The Bridge starred Demián Bichir and Diane Kruger as detectives working along the U.S./Mexico border. FX overall has had a strong year for new shows, launching the acclaimed series version of crime thriller Fargo and the pulpy vampire thriller The Strain. On the more modest side, there was also Middle East thriller Tyrant, which was renewed for a second season.
