Amy Sedaris is starring in Seriously Distracted, the first scripted series from PopSugar, playing a role that seems perfectly tailored to her comedy strengths: Sedaris will star as JD LeGrande, a narcissistic boss at a PR firm.

Seriously Distracted follows the antics of the employees of LeGrande PR, who work under Sedaris’ character, but are constantly, well, distracted by pop culture topics like Scandal and James Franco. The eight-episode series also stars Greta Lee—Girls‘ Soojin, who recently booked a recurring role on New Girl—and Orange Is the New Black‘s Kimiko Glenn is set to appear. Of note? Sedaris also played a publicist in Chef, one of her most recent film roles.

The series premieres Oct. 21, and is also being produced by comedy network Above Average, which is part of Lorne Michaels’s Broadway Video. It will be available to watch on,, and their YouTube channels.
