'Arrow' returns up, 'Stalker' and 'Red Band Society' down in ratings
The CW celebration continues. After a stellar premiere of The Flash on Tuesday, flagship series Arrow returned up on Wednesday night.
The season three premiere, which featured a shocking and brutal death, returned to 2.79 million viewers and 0.9 in the 1.0 in the 18-49 demographic, growing on its season-two premiere as well as last season’s finale. Arrow was followed by an encore of The Flash premiere, which drew another 2.09 million viewers and 0.6 in the demo.
The news wasn’t so great for the rest of the networks. Over on ABC, The Goldbergs (7 million, 2.0) and Modern Family (10 million, 3.4) were both down slightly, though The Middle (7.3 million, 2.0) was even with last week. Black-ish actually grew a bit from last week, with 7.95 million and 2.8. Nashville closed the night down with 5.5 million and 1.5.
Mysteries of Laura dropped another 13 percent from last week, drawing 8.5 million viewers and 1.3. Law & Order: SVU was also down a bit with 7.6 million and 1.7, while Chicago P.D. held steady with 6.7 million and 1.5.
Hell’s Kitchen held steady for Fox with 3.8 million and 1.4, but Red Band Society slipped again to 2.9 million and 0.9.
On CBS, Survivor was up a tick with 9.5 million and 2.5, but both Criminal Minds (10.5 million, 2.3) and Stalker (8.1 million, 1.7) were both down 15 percent from their premieres last week.
