It’s been a busy summer for Team Arrow. With Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) safely locked away on the island, Oliver (Stephan Amell) & Co. have set their sights on ridding Starling City of criminals, and maybe finding some normalcy. That’s why Ollie will finally ask Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) out on a date during the season premiere. Of course, date night will go awry, kicking off a series of events that—to put it simply—will be a major buzzkill for their otherwise successful summer.

Since so much of the third season has already been teased over the last few months, EW compiled a handy list of spoilers to whet your appetite for the new season. Plus: There’s an exclusive sneak peek at Brandon Routh’s debut.

1. There’s a lengthy enough time jump in the season premiere, titled “The Calm,” that Diggle (David Ramsey) is thisclose to becoming a daddy. Sadly, the second episode is not called “Before the Storm,” despite repeated requests. Instead, it’s very fittingly titled “Sara.”

2. The Arrow is actually celebrated by Starling City now, with Captain Lance (Paul Blackthrone) disbanding the anti-vigilante task force.

3. DC Comics villain Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) is the big bad of the new season.

4. Brandon Routh is joining the show as Ray Palmer, otherwise known as The Atom.

5. The theme of the season is finding one’s identity, but that doesn’t just include the titular hero’s struggle between being Oliver Queen and the Arrow. Everyone will be discovering themselves this year.

6. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Oliver will work as a team in that he catches the bad guys, and she puts them away.

7. John Barrowman has been upped to series regular, so we’ll see much more of Malcolm Merlyn—which likely includes going up against Ra’s al Ghul since the two are now nemeses.

8. Oliver and Felicity will go on an explosive first date.

9. Ray Palmer will take over control of Queen Consolidated—and maybe also Felicity’s heart.

10. Roy (Colton Haynes) is a fully-fledged, costume-wearing member of Team Arrow now. We’ll get more insight into his partnership with Oliver in episode six.

11. Laurel will cross paths with Ted “Wildcat” Grant (J.R. Ramirez), who is slated to train her in becoming the Black Canary and may also be a love interest.

12. We’ll find out exactly where Thea (Willa Holland) went with dear old dad Malcolm, who seems to be training her to become a fighter.

13. The flashbacks will feature Oliver in Hong Kong, where he will nearly cross paths with the late Tommy (Colin Donnell).

14. Though initially titled “Oracle,” Felicity’s backstory episode will be called “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak.”

15. Arrow and The Flash will crossover in episode 8, in which they will likely battle villain Digger Harkness (Nick Tarbay), also known as Captain Boomerang, who holds a grudge against A.R.G.U.S.

16. Though she left in the season finale, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) will return for at least three episodes.

17. Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) will also return this season—which seems obvious since her dad Ra’s al Ghul is coming to Starling.

18. Roy will likely find out that he killed someone last season, and he probably won’t be too happy about it.

19. Thea will get a new love interest in Chase (Austin Butler), a charismatic DJ who catches Thea’s eye.

20. Peter Stormare will guest-star as the new Count Vertigo, who reintroduces a new version of the drug in the season premiere.

21. NYPD Blue alum Charlotte Ross will play Felicity’s mother, whom we’ll meet this season. But we probably won’t get to see her estranged father.

22. Diggle won’t be too happy with Oliver, who would rather keep the impending daddy out of the field.

23. Supernatural’s Amy Gumenick will play Carrie Cutter, alter ego Cupid, who has an obsessive crush on the Arrow.

24. David Cubitt will play Mark Shaw, also known as Manhunter, an A.R.G.U.S. Operative who will cross paths with Diggle.

25. During Felicity’s origins episode, we’ll meet her hacker ex-boyfriend Cooper Seldon (Nolan Funk) from her days at MIT.

26. In Hong Kong, Oliver will begrudgingly gain a new set of mentors in Maseo Yamashiro (Karl Yune) and Tatsu (Rila Fukushima), also known as Katana.

27. We’ll see some new members of the Suicide Squad this season.

28. It may be a while before we get any answers on whether Oliver has a child out there somewhere, a secret Moira (Susanna Thompson) paid to keep quiet.

29. Felicity will have an interesting new job in the premiere.

30. Oliver will have some fun new arrows in the premiere, but no sign of a boxing glove one just yet.

31. Matt Ward will make his debut as Simon Lacroix, otherwise known as Komodo, a deadly mercenary.

32. Oliver and Felicity will share their first kiss in the premiere.

33. We will find out why Oliver and Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) do not like each other very quickly into the season.

Arrow returns Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
