RZA joins Anna Kendrick, Sam Rockwell in 'Mr. Right'
Rapper/producer/actor/director RZA has joined the cast of Mr. Right alongside Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell, EW has confirmed.
The Paco Cabezas-directed film follows Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect) as a woman who falls in love with a hit-man. RZA will play Shotgun Steve, a marksman who works for a rival gangster. Max Landis (Chronicle) will be penning the script. Deadline was the first to report the news.
This isn’t the first time the Wu-Tang rapper has appeared on the big screen. In addition to directing 2012’s Man with the Iron Fists, he most recently appeared in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Brick Mansions. The sequel to The Man with the Iron Fists, which RZA will star in but not direct, is slated for a December release.
On top of his film projects, earlier this month, the Wu-Tang Clan announced that it had signed with Warner Bros. and plan to release A Better Tomorrow, their highly anticipated sixth album, on Dec. 2 to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary.
