On Tuesday, Ben Affleck went on The Daily Show to promote Gone Girl—and traded playful barbs with Stewart over the host’s directorial debut, the movie Rosewater.

Affleck noted the similarities between his movie, Argo, and Stewart’s Rosewater, both of which take place in Iran. “You know, I did a movie about Iran,” Affleck joked. “I’m trying to think of a less babyish word than ‘copycat.'”

Stewart had a pretty good comeback: “I thought you directed Fargo, I’m terribly sorry.”

It was all in fun, as Stewart “spoiled” the endings of Gone Girl and Batman, and Affleck pretended to take credit for David Fincher’s directing in Gone Girl.
