Meghan Trainor, ”Dear Future Husband”
She got the world talking ”All About That Bass,” but now Trainor has some doo-wop marching orders for an audience of one: Mr. Right. He’d better treat her like a lady, buy her flowers, and apologize after fights, ”even if I was wrong/You know I’m never wrong.” If she keeps making kitschy sock-hop throwbacks this irresistible, how could he not? Imagine Dragons, ”Warriors”
This blast of digital stadium rock wouldn’t sound out of place scoring an epic videogame — which it actually does: Imagine Dragons crafted it for the hit game League of Legends. Though it’s mildly concerning that such a young band already has a boilerplate, ”Warriors” chest-thumps better than anything on that U2 record you still haven’t figured out how to delete from your iTunes.
