Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to

Would love to get any The Vampire Diaries scoop that’s not related to romantic relationships. — Lola

How about some information on this season’s villain? When my colleague Samantha Highfill spoke to Julie Plec about a new big bad, she claimed this season was going to have a number of “conflict providers.” Still, “There is a villain-esque person in this season that I’m particularly excited about because it does break the mold a little bit of our villains, which seem to be often very redeemable in their own way,” she says. “And we get to explore the deep, dark minds of a psychopathic personality, so I’m very excited about that.” In other words, this is one bad guy who won’t find redemption through a spin-off.

Do you have any information on who Elizabeth Mitchell is playing on Once Upon a Time? — Toni

You mean you didn’t pick up EW’s Fall TV Preview issue where I revealed that she is definitely playing the villain of the first half of the season?! For shame! “For the first time, we’re showing a villainous side to Elizabeth Mitchell,” executive producer Adam Horowitz says. “There’s a dark side that Elizabeth is accessing and she’s doing so in chilling fashion.” On a side note, I first floated the Lost alum’s name past the producers to play Elsa. “When you see her character, it will be everything you wanted her to be,” executive producer Edward Kitsis promises me. Hmm, I wonder what that means! *cough Snow Queen cough*

Any Castle scoop? — Sandra

The hunt for Castle will drudge up all the suspects we’ve been guessing over the summer, including Bracken and 3XK, but you’ll be surprised by where the evidence leads in regards to who actually took the author—which will be hotly debated in the precinct. The apparent truth, however, is something so shocking, it may make you question your Caskett devotion.

I can’t wait for Sleepy Hollow to return. Anything you can tease? — Pablo

Fear not, it won’t be long before Abbie and Crane are reunited, but there’s a shocking twist in the premiere that will definitely leave you scratching your head. Here are my two best cryptic teases: A familiar face will assist Abbie in her plight, and Crane’s memories of the past could be the key to unlocking a way to save one of their own.

What can you tell me about the “big event” that they’ve been teasing for Parenthood this season? — Pam

Well, there is definitely an “event” that happens in the season 6 premiere, though we won’t know the full extent of how serious it is until later. Regardless, you can bet that said event will cause both you and the Bravermans to feel many different emotions. And yes, tears will be shed. The good news? Those tears will bring people together, including long-separated Joel and Julia.

I need some hope that Jake and Amy will get together on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. — Kymberly

I don’t want to crush your dreams, but I hear Kyle Bornheimer will reprise his role as Amy’s detective boyfriend Teddy later this season. Make of that what you will.

Any scoop on the new season of Homeland? — John

We pick up with Carrie already working as the station chief in Kabul, but being in charge isn’t a walk in the park. Carrie reluctantly makes a call in the season premiere that may come back to haunt her as she inadvertently creates more than one monster.

I need some Modern Family scoop. — Keith

Believe it or not, the Dunphy family is facing another child getting ready to leave the nest. “Alex is dealing with going to college and her senior year,” executive producer Steve Levitan teases of the new season. In other Dunphy news, the show will be doing another Halloween-themed episode that involves the new nightmare neighbors, played by Steve Zahn and Andrea Anders.

Is that the last we saw of Brit Morgan on Graceland? — Harold

Sadly, yes. But the mystery behind the British guy, Germaine Marsden (Russ Bain), being so adamant about sussing out if Charlie was a cop will continue into season 3… once the show gets renewed, of course. “Amber we lose, but the guy that ends up torturing her will be around,” executive producer Jeff Eastin cryptically teases.

I’m getting increasingly nervous about who’s going to die on Chicago Fire. Do you have any good news that doesn’t have to do with that? — Timothy

Will a little comedy help? “It’s revealed—and it’s a shocker—that Joe Cruz is a Zumba instructor this season, and jaws drop much to his chagrin because he thought he was keeping a lid on it and no one would find out. But they find out,” showrunner Matt Olmstead says, revealing that the storyline was born out of actor Joe Minoso’s real-life love for Zumba. Hold onto that visual for dear life when you watch the premiere on Tuesday…

Best news I’ve heard all week: As long as CBS allows tights and flight, Supergirl will be my new favorite show.

That’s a wrap on this week’s Spoiler Room. Be sure to email your questions to or tweet them to @NatalieAbrams.
