Who knew Blake Shelton was such a fan of ’80s jams?

Wednesday night on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon had one of his signature lip sync battles, but this time, he pitted himself against some pretty professional competition. The Voice judges Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani took up the challenge, and they did not disappoint.

Shelton did a little tap dance to accompany his rendition of “Putting on the Ritz” by Taco, and fake-wailed to Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.” Stefani transformed back into No Doubt-era Gwen as she gesticulated wildly for an energetic performance of “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen. Fallon does an admirable job with Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” and Spike Jones’ “Cocktails for Two.”

However, it was an unexpected duet of Diana Ross and Lionel Richie’s saccharine romance anthem “Endless Love” that put Stefani and Shelton on top, in a very satisfying twist.
