BBC edits out a beheading from new 'Doctor Who' episode
The BBC has removed footage of a character being beheaded from tomorrow night’s episode of Doctor Who. The decision comes in the wake of the deaths of journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff at the hands of the extremist Islamic group ISIS.
A BBC spokesman said that, “In light of recent news events, we have made an edit to episode three out of respect,” according to BBC News. The footage which has been removed from the show, a Robin Hood-themed episode called “Robot of Sherwood,” is believed to have been part of a fight scene between Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
