“Downton is catching up with the times we live in,” Mrs. Hughes says in the trailer for Downton Abbey‘s season 5. And, according to the trailer, those times involve secrets, sex, and secret sex.

Jimmy Kent gets caught in bed with a mystery woman, Lady Mary Crawley appears to have a new love interest, and Violet Crawley makes a crack about servants being people too but “preferably only on their days off.” As if the Crawleys & co. didn’t already have enough drama to deal in their lives, there’s also a fire in what looks like a room of the estate. Could Downton be burned to the ground? Only one way to find out. (Also: Probably not.)

Downton Abbey’s season 5 premieres in the U.S. January 5, 2015 on PBS.
