'Party Down' is coming to Hulu (Updated)
Are you having fun yet? Because you will be when Party Down debuts on Hulu on Friday, August 29.
One of the great tragedies of the binge-watching era was when Starz took Rob Thomas’ show about cater waiters/struggling showbiz types off of Netflix, but fans (and those who are about to become fans) can rest easy: Hulu announced today that all episodes are coming to Hulu Plus. The first five will stream for free for a limited time. (But really, be warned: You’ll be hooked after just the first one.) Party Down only lasted two seasons on Starz, but has such a devoted cult following that a there is persistent, if not reliable, chatter about a movie.
If you’re not a convert yet, here are some reasons to watch: the coupling of a pre-Parks and Recreation Adam Scott and a pre-Masters of Sex Lizzy Caplan, plenty of guest spots from Veronica Mars cast members (Mars staples Ryan Hansen and Ken Marino are regulars), insider-y Hollywood humor, and the line about a leg “made footless by pot.”
UPDATE: This post has been updated to reflect that Party Down will become available August 29. EW regrets the error.
