• Elle Fanning is attached to star in the film adaptation of the YA novel All the Bright Places—before the book even hits shelves. The love story by Jennifer Niven is about a girl who learns to live from a boy who intends to die. It won’t be published until Jan. 6, 2015. [Variety]

• Emily Ratajkowski, the model best known for her appearance in Robin Thicke’s controversial “Blurred Lines” music video, will star opposite Zac Efron in the coming-of-age drama We Are Your Friends. The film marks the directorial debut of Catfish star Max Joseph, who co-wrote the script with Meaghan Oppenheimer. Filming is set to begin in the San Fernando Valley with Jonny Weston (Insurgent), Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead), and Alex Shaffer (Win Win) all in negotiations to join the cast as well. [Deadline]
