Love is complicated, especially when you haven’t really grown up yet. In The Longest Week, Jason Bateman plays 40-year-old Conrad Valmont, who lives at home and is heir to a vast fortune. When he’s cut off from said fortune, he moves in with his best friend Dylan (Billy Crudup) and promptly decides to romance Dylan’s girlfriend Beatrice (Olivia Wilde) on the sly.

The trailer seems to hint that the film may be fully aware of just how “first world problems” its premise is. Meanwhile, Jason Bateman plays yet another affably self-interested jerk—one might say that his career is suffering from a case of… arrested development. Zing.
