The Black Death hits France in the first footage from 'Reign' season 2
When we left Reign at the end of season 1, King Henry was dead, a plague was spreading, and Mary had just shut the gates on her beloved Francis as he rode off to be with Lola during the birth of their bastard child. Naturally, when we pick up in season 2, life inside the castle is as dramatic as ever (with an extra layer of intrigue, thanks to the large quantity of dead bodies).
Reign‘s Adelaide Kane, Toby Regbo, and Megan Follows stopped by our Comic-Con video hangout Thursday, where they teased new villains and “lots of death” for the upcoming season. But only those in attendance at the show’s Comic-Con panel got to see new footage from season 2… until now.
We’ve got an exclusive look at that footage—the first glimpse of season 2—which features Francis holding his newborn baby, multiple plague victims, and Bash literally knocking down doors to save Kenna.
Reign season 2 premieres Thursday, Oct. 2, at 9 p.m. ET.
