HBO has taken a page out of Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner’s playbook, releasing another promo for Boardwalk Empire‘s final season that manages to make every brief clip feel super important while at the same time revealing almost nothing about the season’s plot.

The 52-second spot opens with Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) sitting in a boardroom, staring out into the distance as a woman whispers, “There’s forgiveness for everyone. That’s what Jesus said.” The promo then cuts to Chalky While (Michael Kenneth Williams) correcting her: “Baby girl, Jesus was wrong.” That’s when a cover of “St. James Infirmary,” kicks in and we’re treated to a flurry of visuals: Nucky entering The Onyx club, a prison chain gang walking through the woods, Gillian Garmody (Gretchen Mol) looking very unhappy in a sanatorium, Nucky angrily throwing someone up against a wall, Al Capone (Stephen Graham) gesturing with a cigar in a meeting, Chalky White using a pickax in a prison uniform, people shooting, and strippers.

Like the last promo, this one ends ends with the phrase “No one goes quietly.”

Per the show’s official Facebook page, Boardwalk Empire‘s eight-episode final season will be set in 1931 and will premiere September 7 at 9 p.m. E.T.
