Nearly a decade after Mr. and Mrs. Smith hit theaters,Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are co-starring in another movie. But this time, Jolie’s also writing and directing it.

Universal Pictures announced that it has acquired the worldwide rights to Jolie’s next project, By the Sea. Described as an “intimate, character-driven drama,” the film will also be produced by the power couple.

Jolie made her feature directorial debut with In the Land of Blood and Honey, a love story set in the midst of the Bosnian War. Her directorial followup, Unbroken, is about a former Olympian who was captured by the Japanese navy while serving as an Air Force pilot in World War II. That film, currently in post-production, will land in theaters Christmas Day. By the Sea marks her second writing credit, after penning the screenplay for In the Land of Blood and Honey.
