Game of Thrones alum Rose Leslie is set to join Vin Diesel in The Last Witch Hunter, a supernatural thriller about a “semi-immortal” witch hunter (Diesel) who teams up with a witch (Leslie) to take down a more evil witch. And, despite being mortal enemies, the witch and the witch hunter also flirt with romance. Breck Eisner is directing the Summit pic, which recently got a polish from Dallas Buyers Club writer Melisa Wallack. [THR]

• Gary Oldman, who’s currently starring in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is in talks to star alongside Kevin Costner in Criminal. The movie imagines a scenario in which a criminal gets implanted with a dead CIA operative’s “memories, secrets, and skills” in order help prevent a disaster. The Iceman‘s Ariel Vromen is directing. • Mr. Holmes, a new Sherlock Holmes film starring Ian McKellen, will also feature Hattie Morahan (The Golden Compass), Patrick Kennedy (War Horse), Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine), Roger Allam (Tamara Drewe), Phil Davis (Vera Drake), Frances de la Tour (The History Boys) and Milo Parker (Ghosthunters: On Icy Trails). • Comedian Jon Daly (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) will join Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, and Jason Sudeikis in Relativity’s Untitled Armored Car Project. Napoleon Dynamite‘s Jared Hess is directing the story, based on real events, about an armored car driver who gets coaxed into participating in a high-stakes heist. [The Wrap]

• Douglas Smith (Big Love) has joined Terminator: Genesis in a secretive role. Alan Taylor is currently filming the reboot, which stars Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. [Deadline]
