Do they even use real arms in Canada?

On Tuesday’s edition of Tonight, Fallon “revealed” that guests Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey once had roles on Jacob’s Patience, the imaginary Canadian soap opera Fallon also starred in not too long ago. The catch? Carrey was under an exclusive arm modeling contract, and Daniels had terrible arm acne. The solution? Fake arms!

Fallon’s sketch featured him, Daniels, and Fallon trying to navigate a Canadian hamburger shop with their unwieldy plastic appendages. For those worried about fake-arm damage, you’re right to fret: It turns out a hot stoves and deep fryers aren’t the best places for the mannequin-handed.

If you’re not caught up on Jacob’s Patience, make sure to watch the soap’s previous installments, featuring Steve Carrell and Justin Timberlake. And if you want to see more Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey (because who wouldn’t?), Dumb and Dumber To hits theaters Nov. 14.
