Truck Driver charged in Tracy Morgan crash
A truck driver from Georgia has been charged with causing the multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning that killed one man and injured four others, including 30 Rock‘s Tracy Morgan.
Kevin Roper, 35, of Jonesboro, Ga., faces one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto after the tractor-trailer he was driving struck a luxury limo bus carrying Morgan and six others at 1 a.m. near Cranbury, N.J.
Comedian James McNair, who goes by the stage name Jimmy Mack, was pronounced dead at the scene. Morgan and two others remain in critical condition.
The actor was air lifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. His rep says the SNL veteran is surrounded by family and “receiving excellent care.”
