Brad Pitt files protective order against alleged red carpet attacker
Vitalii Sediuk got a bit too close to Brad Pitt at Wednesday’s premiere of Maleficent — and now, he’s suffering the consequences: a temporary restraining order barring him from being near the actor.
Sediuk allegedly jumped a barrier on the red carpet and proceeded to rush and briefly touch Pitt. He was then jailed on suspicion of misdemeanor battery, and Los Angeles police issued an emergency protective order Thursday to keep Sediuk from Pitt for five days with the option to extend the order if Pitt chooses.
Sediuk, often described as a prankster, recently snuck under actress America Ferrera’s dress at the Cannes Film Festival before getting taken away by security and arrested — a “prank” that got Sediuk fired from his job at a Ukrainian television station.
The former reporter is set to appear before a Los Angeles judge Friday. Head over to CNN for more.
