Jamie Blackley
British actor Jamie Blackley’s star has been rising for the past several years with small roles in films such as Snow White and the Huntsman and The Fifth Estate. But it’s the 22-year-old’s turn as sexy rock musician Adam in this August’s If I Stay that might just catapult him to dreamboat status. ”It was so cool to be a rock star for a day,” says Blackley of the part, which showcases both his guitar and vocal skills. Manish Dayal
As a gifted Indian chef who works across the street from a Michelin-starred French restaurant, Manish Dayal adds a layer of spice to The Hundred-Foot Journey, particularly when he woos the neighboring sous chef (Charlotte Le Bon). The South Carolina native, 30, picked up a few tricks of the trade on set — and not just about acting. ”I can chop garlic like a master,” says Dayal, whose credits include The CW’s 90210 and ABC Family’s Switched at Birth. ”I even cooked sea bass the other night.” —Nina Terrero

Ansel Elgort
Even though Ansel Elgort is a native New Yorker, he’s not too tough to cry. In the big-screen adaptation of John Green’s young-adult best-seller The Fault in Our Stars, the 20-year-old plays Augustus Waters, whose star-crossed romance with teenage cancer patient Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) has left audiences at early screenings in tears. Can he watch the film himself without waterworks? ”Are you kidding?” says Elgort, who recently appeared in Carrie and Divergent. ”Of course not.” —Sara Vilkomerson
