'Girl Meets World' casts Cory's brother Joshua

Great news: The producers of Girl Meets World remembered that Cory has a much-younger brother.

Uriah Shelton (The Glades) has been cast to appear in the Boy Meets World spinoff, playing “Uncle Joshua,” EW has confirmed. A rep for the show says he’ll appear in more than one episode. E! first reported the news.

Joshua was a toddler when Cory was in college at the end of Boy Meets World, making him about 17 or 18 today. He’s just the latest in a long list of Boy Meets World characters set to appear on the Disney Channel spinoff, including Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong), Minkus (Lee Norris), Harley (Danny McNulty), and others. (Will Friedle, a.k.a big bro Eric, has to show up at some point, right!?)

Girl Meets World will officially premiere Friday, June 27 at 9:45 p.m. on Disney Channel; Disney Channel subscribers can watch the pilot now on WATCH Disney Channel.
