Jason Biggs hates on Sea World in new PETA commercial
Tip: Don’t invite Jason Biggs to SeaWorld.
The Orange is the New Black actor partnered with PETA for an anti-Sea World ad that seems to starts of as a pro-SeaWorld ad: “When I have kids, I can’t wait to take them to SeaWorld,” he starts before making a jab at the theme park. “Maybe they’ll get lucky, see one of the trainers get their legs ripped off.” Sounds like some harmless family fun to us.
Biggs is referring to attacks involving Tilikum, an orca whale who lives at Orlando’s SeaWorld. Tilikum was the focus of 2013’s Blackfish, a documentary that explored the dangers of keeping killer whales in captivity.
Biggs is just one of many celebrities who’ve spoken out against SeaWorld — there’s an entire website filled with big names ranging from Matt Damon to Miley Cyrus, all of whom encourage others to stop supporting the theme park. Earlier this year, multiple musicians — including the Beach Boys and Willie Nelson — backed out of commitments to perform at the park’s annual Bands, Brew, and BBQ weekends-long festival, citing the information Blackfish revealed as the reason for their cancellations.
