Censors, beware — Chris Rock is about to host another live awards show.

The comedian will preside over the 2014 BET Awards, held June 29 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. It will be the first time he has hosted the ceremony honoring African Americans and other minorities in entertainment and sports. Rock previously hosted the Academy Awards in 2005 and served as emcee of the MTV Video Music Awards in 1999 and 2003.

“I watch the BET Awards every year. It’s one of my favorite award shows combining people from movies, sports, TV, and music,” Rock said in a statement. “Where else can you get Rick Ross and Michelle Obama in the same room?!”

He boasted (or warned?): “The BET Awards is like a party where nothing is off limits. My peers have done the show; now it’s my turn.”

The 2014 BET Awards will air live at 8 p.m. ET on June 29 on BET.
