While Ryan Seacrest ushers in 2015 in New York City, Fox will be saying “welcome to Miami” with a New Year’s Eve show hosted by Armando Christian Perez — otherwise known as Pitbull.

“It’s very exciting to bring Endemol, Fox and my new production company, Honey I’m Home, together to create a live New Year’s Eve show,” Perez said in a press release. “The world needs to get ready to un-mute New Year’s Eve, because we are taking the party from the Big Apple to the Pineapple.”

Fox will kick off its party at 8:00 pm ET (with a tape delay for Central and Pacific time zones) and, after a break for the 10 p.m. news, it will resume New Year’s coverage with the tentatively titled Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution, which will run from 11:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET.

“Pitbull is one of the most charismatic entertainers in the world,” Simon Andreae, Executive Vice President, Alternative Entertainment, FOX, said in a statement. “This event will be packed with chart-topping acts and can’t-miss surprises. With Pitbull in charge, it’s sure to be the hottest party on the planet.”
