'CSI' spin-off gets series order
It’s official: Another CSI will join the CBS ranks.
The CSI spin-off stars Patricia Arquette as a special agent in charge at the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI in Quantico, VA, is tasked to solve high-octane crimes that start in the mind, live online, and play out into the real world. The show now has an official title: CSI: Cyber, breaking the franchise’s usual format of naming the spin-offs after cities, like Miami and New York. When the Cyber pilot aired on CBS in the regular CSI slot earlier this season, the ratings improved slightly, which is always a positive sign.
The order joins five other previously announced new CBS series, most of which were picked up today — NCIS: New Orleans, Stalker, Scorpion, Madam Secretary and Battle Creek. More on those here.
