Rolling Stone really likes its cover subjects naked. In April, their cover featuring a nude Julia Louis-Dreyfus made headlines (both because Louis-Dreyfus was naked and because there was a big-time factual error involved) and now, Neil Patrick Harris takes center-stage on the cover of its latest issue in all his bare-skinned glory.

Harris is currently playing the title character in Broadway show Hedwig and the Angry Incha role Harris' fiancé David Burtka wasn't sure he could pull off at first. "I didn't think he could pull of the femininity [of the role]," Burtka said in the article. "This is such a stretch for him." Apparently, he can pull it off though — Harris recently got a Tony nomination for his role in Hedwig.

The focus isn't all on his Broadway life, though: Harris also talked to Rolling Stone about coming out in Hollywood and how it helped his career. "Some actors don't get hired because you can't look into their soul and see what they're like, because they're kept guarded," he said. "Once all the cards were on the table, I got more opportunities than ever."

Pick up this issue of Rolling Stone to read the full Neil Patrick Harris cover story when it hits newsstands Friday.
