“Sometime in the future a group of high school-age kids are transported to a distant location, each of them with one weapon, where they must engage in a battle to the death with each other.”

So begins Josh Olson’s assessment of a certain film in today’s offering from the wonderful, retro-movie website Trailers From Hell. Is the Oscar-nominated writer of David Cronenberg’s The History of Violence talking about The Hunger Games? Nope. He is instead discussing Japanese director Kinji Fukasaku’s infamous 2000 film Battle Royale.

You can check out what else Olson has to say about the trailer below — although, be warned, the clip itself is arguably more disturbing than both Hunger Games movies put together.
