'24' star Kiefer Sutherland was asked to call one CIA operative's mom
Jack Bauer is almost back. Ahead of the May 5 debut of 24: Live Another Day, Kiefer Sutherland sat down with Entertainment Weekly editor Matt Bean for a SiriusXM Town Hall premiering May 2 at 7 p.m. ET on Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM 105). Sutherland took questions from the audience, including one that led him to recount the story of a real CIA operative recognizing him on a ski lift and the conversation that ensued. The gentleman was a fan of the Fox drama but had one request: “He said, ‘I would really like it if you could call my mother and explain to her why I can’t get everything done in 24 hours,'” Sutherland says. “And so I apologized to him profusely.”
Listen to the clip below. Another fan, who’d marathoned 24, asked Sutherland which shows he’s binge-watched. Find out the answer in our second sneak peek.
The SiriusXM Town Hall with Kiefer Sutherland repeats throughout the weekend and again Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m. ET on SiriusXM 105, ahead of the two-hour premiere of 24: Live Another Day on May 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
