Ben Affleck counting cards, or just researching for 'Runner Runner 2'?
And you thought Daredevil was bad for his career.
According to a report from TMZ, Affleck was forced to stop playing blackjack at the Hard Rock Casino on Monday for counting cards. The Oscar winner allegedly uses the “perfect basic” method of counting, which is pretty much beginner’s cheating. Alert fliers were sent to major casinos in the area warning of Affleck’s behavior after an internal email was sent the week before around the Wynn and Encore casinos stating that Affleck had been “informed that he was being way too obvious moving his money with the count.” We couldn’t get a warning about Gigli, though?
So what’s going on here? Does Affleck have a problem, or is this some stunt for a new film role? Or maybe it’s a way to promote the return of Project Greenlight? Affleck did just play the head of an online gambling empire in Runner Runner, and best friend Matt Damon’s 1998 film Rounders shined a light on the dark world of high-stakes poker. So maybe there is a crossover sequel in the works, because even Rounder Rounder would be better than casino jail.
