Laughter is the only medicine that the doctors at Childrens Hospital practice, and they’re going to stock up on another season of it. Adult Swim announced Thursday it had ordered a sixth season of Rob Corddry’s medi-com.Season 6 of the show, which began as a web series in 2008 before hitting the air in 2010, will shoot this summer and premiere in 2015. In the announcement, creator-star Corddry said that the doctors will return to their old hospital stomping grounds after spending last season in Japan. “[F]ans can expect the kind of tomfoolery that endeared them to Childrens Hospital back when they were youngsters,” he said. “Stuff like absurdity, flights of fancy, hard-hitting fake drama, soft-hitting fake drama, farcical door slamming, partial nudity, classical jazz, 70-yard field goals, mustache rides, backwards messages, grooming tips… the whole shebang.”
