'Game of Thrones' ratings rise after last week's shocker
Game of Thrones ratings bounced up for the third episode of the season and matched the series-high viewership for the HBO hit.
Sunday night 6.6 million viewers tuned in for the 9 p.m. airing (Thrones recap), up 5 percent from last week’s wedding shocker and tying the record-setting fourth season premiere. Another 1.6 million watched the two replays.
Meanwhile, HBO’s post-Thrones comedy block of Silicon Valley and Veep both took a slight dip, with Mike Judge’s latest delivering 1.6 million / 2.1 million and Julia Louis-Dreyfus‘ comedy posting 775,000 / 1.3 million. Both shows don’t have to worry, however, they were just renewed for a second and fourth season, respectively.
