Animation is ending its domination of Fox’s Saturday nights.

The broadcaster is dumping its experimental animated block. Fox first told its affiliates a couple weeks ago that Animation Domination HD will have its last airing on June 28, according to Broadcasting & Cable and confirmed to EW by Fox.

B&C also reported that affiliates are not sorry to hear the block is going away. In addition to under-performing in the ratings, some stations have apparently received complaints about the risque content of the programming, which targeted young male viewers with Adult Swim-like content. Fox’s popular Sunday version of Animation Domination — which includes hits like The Simpsons and Family Guy — will continue.

Wednesday, a raunchy Easter Bunny video from the online version of Fox’s ADHD drew fire from a parent’s group. Fox sources emphasized the online version of ADHD will remain in place and will continue to be used to develop new potential on-air series. There’s no word yet what will replace the Saturday night programming.
