Star Trek‘s Chris Pine is in talks to star in Disney’s upcoming period drama The Finest Hours. Directed by Million Dollar Arm‘s Craig Gillespie, the upcoming drama is based on the true story of how two oil tankers and their crews got caught in the middle of a Nor’easter storm that hit the New England coast in 1952. Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First Class) is currently in talks to join the cast of White House Down producer Roland Emmerich‘s gay-rights film Stonewall. The upcoming drama, led by Jeremy Irvine (War Horse), tells the story of the 1969 Greenwich Village raid on the Stonewall Inn that became a catalyst for the gay-rights movement. Jones is currently in talks to play Orphan Annie, a gay street hustler who forms a bond with Danny (Irvine) and ends up participating in the movement. [Deadline]
