Adam Scott reprises 'Step Brothers' character for healthcare ad
If we’re going to be bombarded with Healthcare.Gov ads, at least we’re also being treated to resurrected movie characters in the process.
In a new FunnyorDie clip, Adam Scott once again plays everyone’s
favorite most hated sibling, Step Brothers‘ Derek Huff. Things we now know about Derek via this catch-up: He’s divorced; he hangs out with Mark Cuban, Chris Daughtry, and Jeff Probst; this “Cool Squad” stays in touch via Google Glass (because of course they do).
Huff knows he doesn’t need healthcare coverage — either for himself or his kids. Of course, he wasn’t planning on getting into an accident either. Cue the ACA messaging.
One small quibble: You bring back Derek and don’t have him sing? That’s worse than going flat in the middle of “Sweet Child O’Mine.”
