Gooooold-fingers!

Here’s a first look at Jaime Lannister’s new appendage: A golden hand. The heavy metal bling in Lannister-themed gold has been specially designed to attach to his right wrist. As Game of Thrones fans know, the Kingslayer’s hand was brutally severed in season 3. Now that Jaime (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is back in King’s Landing, he’s reunited with his family and given the hand by another character in the season 4 premiere, which airs April 6 on HBO. The appendage was designed by Michele Clapton and made by Thrones armor master Giampaolo Grassi. The amount of detail is pretty extraordinary for an item that’s typically only seen at a distance.
