• Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) and Alison Brie (Community) are in negotiations to join the womanizer-befriends-a-serial-cheater comedy Sleeping With Other People from writer-director Leslye Headland (who Scott worked with on Bachelorette). Kirsten Dunst was previously set to star alongside Jason Sudeikis but had to drop out. Brie would be replacing Dunst. Sudeikis is still involved. [THR]

• David Fincher (The Social Network) has reportedly told Sony’s Amy Pascal that if he is to direct their Steve Jobs movie, he’d like Christian Bale (American Hustle) to star as Jobs. Aaron Sorkin is writing the script based on Walter Isaacson‘s biography of the late entrepreneur. According to the report, Bale has not been approached yet. [The Wrap]

• Anthony Mackie (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) is in negotiations to join John Hillcoat‘s ensemble heist drama Triple Nine, starring Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Aaron Paul, Gal Gadot, and Teresa Palmer. [Variety]

• Jake McDorman (Shameless) is in talks to join Clint Eastwood‘s American Sniper, starring Bradley Cooper. Eastwood also plans to use real Navy SEALs in the film. [The Wrap]

• Kyle Bornheimer has boarded the high school reunion comedy The D-Train starring Jack Black and his Bachelorette co-star James Marsden. Yes Man writers Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel are set to direct. [THR]

• Michael Vartan (Bates Motel) will star in Crawlspace about a widower who relocates to a haunted house in the suburbs with his daughter and new wife. Phil Claydon (Vampire Killers) will direct. [Deadline]

• Kathy Baker (Saving Mr. Banks) and Amanda Crew (Charlie St. Cloud) will join Blake Lively and Harrison Ford in Lee Toland Krieger‘s Age of Adaline. [THR]
