'About a Boy' grows as NBC clocks ratings record
Behold the ongoing power of The Voice: NBC just clocked its 18th Tuesday victory in the ratings last night, plus saw new comedy About a Boy rise a couple notches. For NBC, winning 18 Tuesdays among adults 18-49 in one season is a record, and there are still a couple months of the season to go (we’re on week 26 right now). The Voice was steady in the numbers, freshman comedy Growing Up Fisher was up a notch and Chicago Fire was stable.
CBS did solid-ish last night with its why-did-that-person-die drama block, all were within 10 percent of their last airings two weeks ago.
But for ABC and Fox, well, it was ratings desolation, apocalypse, dogs and cats living together, etc. The 100th episode of Glee, for example — 2.8 million viewers and a 1.1, and that’s a 22 percent increase from last week. New Girl was a repeat, which likely helped About a Boy.
The CW’s Originals was down a tick and Supernatural was unchanged. Full chart:
