Earlier this week, the brother of Toronto mayor Rob Ford got his feelings hurt when the siblings didn’t get their picture taken with Kevin Spacey backstage at a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live. On Saturday, Spacey attempted to remedy the situation via this awesome tweet:

Here’s the backstory: Both Spacey and the disgraced politician were guests on Kimmel’s late-night show on March 2. Doug Ford, who was also in attendance, complained that the House of Cards actor is “an arrogant SOB” on the YouTube show he hosts with his brother, titled Ford Nation, on Friday.

On the show, Doug, a City Councillor, says: “Any actor that makes his living off the people who watch his shows, you can’t take a picture with him? We were told you can’t take a picture, and you can’t speak to [Spacey]. Who does this character think he is?!”

Rob, for his part, says “he wouldn’t know [Kevin Spacey] if he ran him over,” which was a very unfortunate choice of words. You can watch the full rant here:

So is this really a temper tantrum thrown over a missed selfie opportunity, or a tirade stemming from the cracks Spacey made at Rob’s expense on Kimmel?

Spacey joked that his appearance on the show was “the first time I’ve had to follow a Ford — and one that was so banged up.” (Rob Ford infamously admitted to smoking crack, and was subsequently stripped of most of his power.) And when Kimmel thanked Spacey for sharing a dressing room with the embattled mayor, the actor quipped, “Well, he threw up all over it, but those are the chances you take.”

See? Power-seeking politicians really shouldn’t mess with Frank Underwood.
