'Sharknado 2' gets July premiere date

Sharknado fans, you only have to wait five short months for the sequel. Syfy confirmed to EW that Sharknado 2: The Second One will premiere on July 31 at 9 pm ET.

The movie features kind-of stars like Tara Reid, Kelly Osbourne, and Judah Friedlander as they struggle through a massive storm system that wreaks havoc on New York City — and results in the second dreaded Sharknado. So, a bit like The Day After Tomorrow… except marine-themed. And without Jake Gyllenhaal. But it does costar Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, so that’s something to look forward to.
