Fox's 'Almost Human' switches off with low rating
Almost Human‘s first season finale isn’t adding up to higher renewal odds.
The robot-cops freshman drama delivered a series-low rating for its 13th and final episode of the season Monday night, with 5.6 million viewers and a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. That’s down a tenth of a point from last week for a show that was already in the red on our Death Watch list to begin with. This hasn’t been a good season for cyber-cop thrillers — CBS’ Intelligence was even lower, with 5.3 million viewers and a 1.2 rating.
NBC dominated the grid with a solid showing from The Voice, but The Blacklist had its weakest post-Voice episode of the season. CBS was next with its sitcom block, all shows near their previous numbers, with How I Met Your Mother posting the night’s best rating for a scripted series (say it with me one more time: CBS is going to miss this show). ABC’s The Bachelor was down a bit and Castle dipped 6 percent to hit a series low. Fox’s The Following managed to rise a tenth despite the weaker lead-in this week. The CW’s dramas were soft.
