Don’t hurt us Game of Thrones! HBO’s fantasy hit has released its main key-art marketing poster. It’s a rather more, um, active image than last year’s rather subdued graphic, which some fans criticized (it showed the shadow of a flying dragon). This poster definitely gets your attention.

The release comes on the heels of HBO releasing individual character posters emblazoned with the expression “valar morghulis” — which means “all men must die” in High Valyrian. With this poster, you won’t need your High Valyrian-to-English translation app to understand the message. It promises tears, heartache and a possible raven attack (and also could be seen as a nod to George R.R. Martin’s titles for the third and fourth book in his series — A Storm of Swords and A Feast For Crows).
