One may say the fan-anticipated Marauders prequel isn’t happening, but clearly Daniel Radcliffe-by-way-of-early-Sirius-Black didn’t get the message and is moving forward with his audition for the young Mr. Black. Note: Radcliffe’s hair isn’t brand new; He explained the Frankenstein-mandatory look (it’s a weave) during a recent appearance on the Graham Norton Show.

The actor attended the What’s On Stage Awards over the weekend (and picked up the Best Actor prize for The Cripple of Inishmaan), where he met up with fellow Potter alum Rupert Grint. Normally, I’d be a respectful blogger and refrain from dumb Potter quips since that movie franchise ended in 2011, but since two or more Hogwarts grads are at an event together, it’s a well-established fact that Potter Jokes are Totally Allowed.

With that said, a couple of discussion questions for the group: What Polyjuice Potion is Radcliffe currently coming off of? Do you think Grint asked him if Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes was playing a trick on him? Was it awkward between the two one-time best friends now that JK Rowling has gone and let Ron know that in his Deathly Hallows freakout he was probably on to something? Do you think the two reminisced about the good old days fighting The Battle of Hogwarts and maybe, I don’t know, talked about getting the band back together again?

And finally, shut up, you think that hairstyle secretly kind of works for him. Final question: Like an Instagram, can a moving portrait be tagged #LongHairDon’tCare?
