Nicki Minaj apologizes for cover art linking Malcolm X to racial slur
As Brad Paisley and LL Cool J know all too well, everybody makes a bad call sometimes.
Nicki Minaj first came under fire yesterday for her incendiary, expletive-littered new track “Lookin Ass N—-,” but it was the song’s cover art that really set people off. The image (above) features a famous photograph of civil-rights icon Malcolm X wielding an AK-47 and looking worried,with the track’s already-divisive title slapped on — and that set everybody off.
After inciting multiple Change.org petitions and widespread criticism, Minaj issued a lengthy apology — attached to an Instragram photo of her wielding a gun.
