'Parenthood' and 'Friday Night Lights' collide: Preview new web series
Crucifictorious is alive and well, my friends! And they’re coming to jam at … The Luncheonette?
That’s right! Jason Katims has combined the worlds of Friday Night Lights and Parenthood like they’re East and West Dillon. Welcome to Friday Night at the Luncheonette!
In the four-part digital companion series to Parenthood, viewers will get to see what Amber does after hours at the recording studio, which includes taking care of her cousin Max. But more importantly, it includes booking bands from Dillon, Texas (while wearing an East Dillon T-shirt).
EW has an exclusive sneak peek of part one, when Landry “Lance” Clarke (Jesse Plemons) brings Crucifictorious in for some band rehearsal. Spoiler: We know that Derek Phillips’ Billy Riggins will also make an appearance (and probably bring beer)!
Our only other wish — besides Matt Lauria showing up as Ryan’s twin brother, Luke — is for Tim Riggins to reprise his role as a fake fan of the band.
