Shaun White crushes Fox's 'Dads' finale
Shaun White may not have earned a medal Tuesday, but NBC’s ratings for the snowboarder’s Olympic halfpipe attempts sure crushed Fox’s comedy lineup.
NBC’s prime-time Sochi Winter Olympics coverage had 23.7 million viewers and a 6.6 rating among adults 18-49. This is actually a ratings boost vs. the comparable night of the 2010 Vancouver Games, with NBC up 16 percent in viewers and 20 percent in the demo. This reverses the dominant coverage trend so far where the viewership has typically scored below Vancouver.
Rival networks aired repeats — except Fox, which shoved original episodes into the line of fire and was gunned down with its one-hour Dads finale, New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Full chart:
