On the eve of his final Tonight Show, Jay Leno’s ratings keep going up.

Wednesday’s Tonight delivered the show’s highest overnight rating for any night of the week in four years. Leno scored a 4.3 in the overnight metered-market households, his biggest since 2010. Tonight guests on Wednesday included Sandra Bullock (video of her teary goodbye to Leno), Blake Shelton and musical guest Vintage Trouble.

Leno continued to demonstrate significant dominance over rivals — CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman had a 2.4 and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live had a 2.1.

Leno’s successor Jimmy Fallon had a 2.1, which is his best since last Friday, though was also his highest Wednesday telecast since 2009. Fallon’s final Late Night will air after NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday, while his first Tonight episode is Feb. 17.

Leno’s final Tonight Show is this evening. His guests include Garth Brooks and Billy Crystal.
