Love sweet, sweet advertising but hate having to sit through boring old football to get to it? You’re in luck, my friend! In advance of Sunday’s big game, Super Bowl commercials keep trickling out online — including, now, Ellen DeGeneres’s fairy-tale-themed spot for Beats Music, which the comedian debuted on her talk show yesterday.
In the ad, DeGeneres plays a music-loving Goldilocks type who sneaks into the Three Bears’ chic urban apartment. Instead of sampling their porridge or rocking in their chairs, she elects to rock out to Mama, Papa, and Cool Teen Bear’s music — though each one she tries is just a little bit off. (Just go with it.) But when Ellen discovers the smooth sounds of Beats, she’s found an app that’s just right for her — which leads to a wild dance party the likes of which haven’t been seen since “What Does the Fox Say?” (or Shrek‘s DVD extras).
And then, after premiering the clip, DeGeneres gives everyone in her audience a new smartphone, just ’cause. Happily ever after indeed!
